Following a two-year stint at Stetson, Steve Drabyn joined Casey Alexander’s staff in June 2013.
“Steve's enthusiasm for coaching is contagious and he makes all of us better on a daily basis,” said Alexander. “He has a knack for teaching the game and for making players better.”
Along with helping organize the storied Lipscomb basketball camps, Drabyn oversees strength and conditioning for the Bisons along with sharing in recruiting, coaching and scouting duties with the entire staff.
Prior to joining Alexander’s staff in DeLand, Fla., Drabyn coached at NCAA Division II Lees-McCrae, NCAA Division III Sewanee (The University of the South) and Carmel (Ind.) High School.
A standout guard for Belmont from 2000 to 2004, Drabyn tallied 1,237 points during his career and led the NCAA in free-throw percentage (78-82, .951) as a junior. Drabyn was inducted into Belmont's Hall of Fame in 2016.
Drabyn and his wife Brittany reside in Brentwood and are the proud parents of Grayson Emil (2014), Ava Lea (2015) and Chloe Ann (2017).
