Juniors Geoff Musick and Isaiah Greer were named to the 2011 Atlantic Sun Academic All-Conference team, Thursday. Lipscomb was the only school to place to men on the Academic All-Conference squad.

Behind All-Conference second-team athletes Isaiah Greer and Ashton Fisher, the Lipscomb men's cross country team earned a program-best fourth-place finish at the 2011 Atlantic Sun Cross Country Championships, Saturday.

The Lipscomb men and women's cross country teams will compete in this weekend's Atlantic Sun Cross Country Championships, hosted by Belmont. The meet is on Lipscomb's home course of Vaughn's Gap at Percy Warner Park.

Led by senior Louisa Van Batavia and freshman Tate Honaker, the Lipscomb men and women's cross country teams performed admirably on a fast course at the Evansville Invitational. As a team, the women finished fifth while the men were 11th.

Former Lipscomb runner Wes Sherman will have his art featured in the John C. Hutcheson Gallery in Lipscomb's Hughes Center. The exhibit, entitled Humus, is an exhibition of 21st century painters. It opens Monday, Oct. 17.
