The Bisons and Lady Bisons both finished third in the Mid-America Course hosted by Evansville University in Evansville, Ind., Saturday morning.
Ryan Chastain finished 10th in the 6-K race with a time of 19:13.70. He was one of seven Bisons runners to finish in the top 25 in the field of 79 runners.
Rounding out the top finishers for the Bisons were Benton Reed (16th ) with a time of 19:38.15, Trace Carlson (20th) with a time of 19:55.95, Jeff Hoover (21st) with a time of 19:57.33, Andrew Shankles (22nd) with a time of 19:58.75, Tyler Youngs (23rd) with a time of 20:01.85 and Jonathan Williams (24th) with a time of 20:02.07.
Louisville won the men's event followed by Evansville in second place.
Carolyn Latham was the top finisher for the Lady Bisons crossing the finish line in the 4-K with a time 15:29.87, 11th. There were 86 runners in the field.
Caitlin Anderson finished 13th with a time of 15:36.11. Ashley Lehman was close behind in 14th place with a time of 15:36.67. Shannon Shoemake finished 23rd with a time of 16:29.26.
Louisville won the women's event followed by Murray State in second.
