NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Lipscomb’s cross country teams will not be going to Fayetteville, Ark., for the Oct. 15 Chile Pepper Festival as originally scheduled, head coach Bill Taylor announced Tuesday. Instead, Lipscomb will participate in the Evansville Invitational that same weekend, beginning at 11 a.m.
“We are making a change that best serves the needs of our athletes at this point in the season,” said Taylor.
The B-squads for both the men and women's teams will be in attendance at this meet; the top runners for the men and women will get an extra week of rest before the conference championships.
This will be Lipscomb’s final meet prior to the Atlantic Sun Cross Country Championships held Oct. 29 on the Vaughn’s Gap Course at Percy Warner Park.
