Chastain, Brame earn All-A-Sun in cross country
The Lipscomb Bisons cross country team entered the Atlantic Sun Conference Championships rated as sixth in the conference.

With five of his runners freshmen along with one sophomore and two juniors, coach Bill Taylor was hopeful they could finish above their ranking. But they finished sixth Saturday morning in the conference championships in Macon, Ga.

Ryan Chastain led the Bisons with a sixth place finish, covering the 8-K course in a time of 24:56.48. He earned A-Sun First Team All-Conference honors for his efforts. Chastain is the first Bison runner to earn All-Conference during the NCAA era.

Nathan Brame finished 32nd with a time of 26:37.93. He became the second Bison to earn A-Sun All-Freshman Team honors.

Finishing close behind Brame was David Wolfe in 33rd (26:37.93) and Trace Carlson in 34th (26:39.84).

In 40th place was Cormac Carolan-Tolbert with a time of 27:03.65.
