NASHVILLE, Tenn.-The Lipscomb Bisons cross country team is back in action this Saturday at the Greater Louisville Classic after taking off last weekend from competition.
The Bisons are ranked fourth this week in the Atlantic Sun Conference Poll.
“The men are young,” Lipscomb coach Bill Taylor said. “Rankings are just rankings. The teams in our conference are so close.
“We have a lot of work to do and a lot of things to sort out to be the team we want to be. All we have to do is to keep learning and growing and getting better. We have to give ourselves a chance.”
The Bisons will be running in Louisville without senior Tim Muller and freshman Matt Hall.
“Matt has been one of top one or two guys,” Taylor said. “We are actually running without two of our top three runners. We need other people to step up any way."
The 8,000-K course for the race is located at E.P. “Tom’ Sawyer Park in Louisville, Ky. There will be three men’s races with the first scheduled for 8:30 a.m. The second race is at 9:45 and the third at 11.
The Bisons will be one of five A-Sun teams in the meet. This is the start of three straight meets for the Bisons.
