Freeman earns men's XC first A-Sun weekly honor since 2011

MACON, Ga. – Lipscomb junior Christian Freeman has been name the Atlantic Sun Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week. This was the Bisons’ first weekly honor in the men’s category since 2011.

Freeman ran the fastest 8K time in the conference for the week and for the season thus far (24:33.18) on his way to finishing 23rd out of 214 runners at the Greater Louisville Classic. He also broke the Lipscomb school record in the event.

The California native helped propel Lipscomb to an 11th place finish out of 24 teams in a field of nationally-ranked competition.

The win was Freeman’s second of this career after nothing a track and field Runner of the Week award last season.

Lipscomb returns to action on October 16th at the Crimson Classic for their final meet before the A-Sun Championship.
