LakePoint, Ga. – Lipscomb senior Jacob Poyner has been named the ASUN Cross Country Runner of the Week for the third time in his career and the second time this season, as announced by the league offices on Wednesday.
Poyner was the Bisons top racer at the Louisville Classic, as he finished 49th out of 326 runners with a time of 24:31.1.
The Indiana native helped Lipscomb finish in 12th place out of a field of 30 teams, seven of which were nationally-ranked.
Poyner won earlier the award earlier in the season for his seventh-place performance at the Commodore Classic.
The Bisons will be back on the course on Oct. 14 as the team splits for a pair of meets: the Princeton Invite and the UTC Frontrunner Invite.
