Leber selected to compete in cross country National Championship

NASHVILLE - Lipscomb cross country’s Brent Leber was selected to compete in the NCAA National Championship during the Division I Cross Country Selection Show on Saturday afternoon.

Leber, fresh off a seventh-place finish at the NCAA South Regional which is the highest-ever ranking for a Bison in a region race, was one of the South Region’s at-large individual selections.

The Maryland native will be headed to Terre Haute, Indiana for the NCAA Championship on November 23, one week from today. The men’s 10k race will kick off at 12:15 p.m. ET, 11:15 a.m. CT.

Leber, who recently earned the rare double honor of being named the ASUN’s Runner of the Year and Scholar-Athlete of the Year in the same season, is the first cross country runner to represent Lipscomb on the highest stage.
