Cory Parkinson was not to be outdone after teammate Clint Suggs shot a team season-low 67 in the first round of the Belmont Intercollegiate.
At the conclusion of the second set of 18 holes, Parkinson had shot the second 67 of the day. His 4-under par performance bolted him from 23rd to 8th on the leader board. He shot an even par 71 in the first round placing him at 4-under through the first 36 holes.
Freshman Clint Suggs shot a 1-over 72 in the second round dropping him one stroke behind Parkinson, but 13th on the leader board.
As a team, Lipscomb is in 9th place with 578 strokes (286-292).
