Despite a less than stellar third round performance Tuesday the Lipscomb Bisons golf team managed to finish in a tie for fourth in the Skyhawk Classic hosted by the University of Tennessee-Martin.
The 16-team, 90-player event was held Monday and Tuesday at the Paris Landing Golf Course in Buchanan, Tenn.
Central Arkansas won the event with a three-round total of 856.
The Bisons tied for fourth with Tennessee Tech with a three-round team score of 879.
Leading the way for the Bisons was Cory Parkinson who tied for 12th after shooting a three-round score of 216 (70-72-74).
Clint Suggs and Brandon Mundie tied for 36th place with a total score of 222. Suggs shot rounds of 75, 70 and 77 while Mundie had scores of 78, 70 and 74.
Andrew Brock tied for 55th place with a 227 (75-68-84).
Dylan Waters tied for 80th with a score of 238 (81-81-76).
Samuel Marcrom tied for 29th with a score of 220 (73-74-73). He was not included in the team scoring.
