WESTLAKE VILLAGE, Calif. - The Lipscomb Bisons golf team challenged some of the top teams in the nation at the North Ranch Intercollegiate.
The Bisons finished the 12-team tournament tied for 11th place with California-Riverside with a three-round, 36-hole team score of 938, 86 strokes over par. Southern California, a co-host of the event at North Ranch Country Club, finished first with a team score of 863, 11 over par.
Dustin Wilder was the most consistent golfer for the Bisons with a third round score of 77. He fired a 76 in the first round and a 77 in the second for a total of 230. He finished in a tie for 45th place.
Blanton Farmer shot a final round 79. He had a 78 and 74 in the first and second rounds, respectively, for a total of 321, tying him for 47th place.
Ryan Terry finished in a tie for 53rd with a 235 (79, 78, 78). Alex Cox tied for 66th with a 243 (75, 83, 85). Paul Kleine-Kracht was 68th with a score of 249 (80, 82, 87).
