HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. - After the first two rounds of the F&M APSU Intercollegiate, the Lipscomb men’s golf team is tied for sixth place after shooting 575 (-1) for the day.
The tournament is a 54-hole format, with 36 being played on Monday and the final 18 on Tuesday.
When the first round came to a close, Lipscomb was in second place, six shots behind Belmont. After the second, it slipped to sixth.
Mikey Feher tied the second-lowest round of the day when he carded a 67 in the morning round. The second round, Feher shot a two-under par 70 for a 36-hole total of 137 (-7). He leads the Bisons and is third overall.
Sydney Chung and Stoney Crouch are tied for 24th after each fired a 144 (E) on Monday. Chung shot 70 in round one then played round two at two-over par (74).
Playing in his first round of competition play in over a month, Crouch started the day with a 71 finishing with a 73 in the second round.
Paul Klein-Kracht ended the day in a tie for 58th after posting scores of 76-74.
Dustin Wilder had his two highest rounds of the year after shooting 79-77. He is tied for 80th.
As an individual, Dowling Armstrong carded a 79 in round one before shooting even-par 72 in the second. Entering the final round on Tuesday, Armstrong is tied for 66th overall.
Belmont leads the APSU Intercollegiate at 21-under par, (555). Eastern Kentucky is second at minus-18. Host Austin Peay stands in third and trails EKU by eight strokes.
Taylor Riggs of EKU leads the field at 10-under after shooting rounds of 70-64.
The third and final round will be played on Tuesday at The Links of Novadell, a par-72 course covering 7,132 yards.
