Lipscomb's Hale Wins EKU Colonel Classic

Lipscomb University golfer Cody Hale shot a third round 68 Saturday to take individual first place honors in the Eastern Kentucky University Colonel Classic at the Arlington Golf Club in Richmond Kentucky.

Hale had a three-round total of 206 (71-67-68) and won by only one stroke over Eastern Kentucky's Josh McGracken who had a third round 66 to go with rounds of 72 and 69.

Eastern Kentucky won the tournament. The Bisons, who were in second place after two rounds, finished fourth with a seven-under-par 857, 15 strokes behind the winner.

Taylor Lewis finished with a 215 (70-68-77) to finish in a tie for 13th. Parker Beck shot rounds of 72-70-74 for a 216, good enough for a tie for 17th. Paul Warren tied for 37th with a 222 (73-75-74) and Justin Perry finished 44th with a 224 (73, 73, 78).
