Green signs to play golf for Lipscomb

Andrew Green of White House, Tenn., has signed to play golf for the Lipscomb University Bisons.

Green, 5-foot-11, was an All-State Second Team pick in 2005 from East Robertson High School. He lettered in golf five times from the eighth to 12th grades.

He won the Regional Tournament with a 69 and advanced to the State Tournament in 2005. His lowest score for nine holes is 32.

He was also a standout tennis player, lettering as a sophomore, junior and senior. He and his sister, Allison, finished as runners-up in the district and became the first players from East Robertson to qualify for the region. His sister advanced to the state tournament. He was an All-District pick as a sophomore, junior and senior.

He lettered in soccer in the eighth grade.

He was also a member of the National Honor Society and Beta Club.

His ambition is to play professional golf. He is undecided on his major.

He is the son of Karen and Alan Green.
