Tuesday, April 10, 2007 April 10, 2007 Lipscomb University placed a season best 7th at the Tennessee State University Intercollegiate. The 36-hole tournament was held on the par 72 Greystone Country Club in Dickson, Tenn. As a team, the Bisons finished at a 52-over 916 (304-306-306). Cory Parkinson finished in 15th place with a team-low score of 221. He shot a one-over 73 on each of the first two sets of 18 holes and rounded out the tournament with at 3-over 75 Tuesday. Taylor Lewis finished four strokes behind Parkinson with a 9-over 225 (72-77-76). He was tied for 21st in the field of 54. Andrew Green shot a 20-over 236 (83-75-78) to finish tied for 42nd. Jase Renneeke finished tied for 49th with a 24-over 240 (82-81-77). Dustin Lynch rounded out Lipscomb's team play with a 25-over 241 (77-82-82) for 51st. In individual action, John Higgins finished tied for 53rd with 251 strokes (91-81-79). Josh Dyer had 258 strokes (83-91-84) for 54th place. Murray State won the tournament with a par 864. Mitchell Moore of Murray State captured the individual crown with a 5-under 211. Lipscomb is back in action next Monday for the Atlantic Sun Conference Tournament. |
