Parkinson leads Bisons 1st round at A-Sun Championship

The Lipscomb Bisons opened the first round of the Atlantic Sun Championship firing a 49-over 333 for 10th place. The 54-hole tournament is being played at The Golf Club at Sanctuary Cove in Waverly, Georgia.

Cory Parkinson finished tied for 32nd after shooting an 11-over 82. Clint Suggs was one stroke behind Parkinson finishing tied for 37th with a 12-over 83.

Andrew Green and Taylor Lewis were a stroke behind Suggs at 13-over. There 84 strokes placed them tied for 45th. Dustin Lynch finished at a 16-over 87 for 50th place.

North Florida was leading the field after 18 holes shooting 18-over as a team. Three individuals finished tied for 1st at 2-over.

Lipscomb tees off for the second round Tuesday morning between 6:30 a.m. and 7:10 a.m. CDT.
