Bisons finish sixth in Kauai Collegiate Cup

The Lipscomb Bisons golf team finished sixth in the 11-team Kauai Collegiate Cup played Friday and Saturday at the Wailua Golf Course in Lihue, Hawaii.

The tournament is hosted by Western Kentucky University.

The Bisons shot a three-round score of 908 (303-308-297). They were eight strokes behind fifth place finisher Old Dominion. Vanderbilt won the tournament with a score of 855 (287-289-279). Oklahoma Christian was second with an 883.

Cody Hale was the top finisher for the Bisons. He tied for eighth with a three-over par score of 219 (74-75-70).

Parker Beck finished in the top 25 with a tie for 23rd. He shot a 230 with scores of 75, 81 and 74.

Cory Parkinson was close behind in a tie for 26th place with a score of 231 (74, 77, 80).

Clint Suggs tied for 34th with a 235 score (82, 79, 74). Brandon Mundie was 41st with a 236 (80, 77, 79).

Chad Rush was 53rd with a 252 (85, 82, 85).
