Bisons finish fifth in Hawaii Tournament

The Lipscomb Bisons golf team finished fifth in the 10th annual Kauai Collegiate Cup in Lihue, Kauai, Hawaii.

The Bisons shot a three-round team score of 892 (303, 290, 299) in the 11-team tournament hosted by Western Kentucky University at the Wailua Golf Course .

East Tennessee State, another Atlantic Sun team, won the tournament with a three-day team score of 860.

Samuel Marcrom paced the Bisons finishing in a tie for 16th with a three-round score of 222 (75, 72, 75).

Cory Parkinson tied for 26th, shooting a three-round score of 224 (74, 74, 76). Also in the top 30 was Clint Suggs with a 226 (76, 75, 75).

Brandon Mundie tied for 37th at 234 (79, 69, 86). Mundie's second round 69 was the lowest score for the Bisons in the tournament and his first sub-70 score of the season.

Andrew Brock tied for 42nd with a 235 (78, 84, 73).

The other schools in the tournament were Georgia Southern, Wayland Baptist, Sam Houston State, USC Upstate, North Dakota State, Walters State Junior College, Jackson State and Hawaii Pacific.
