Barry Brewer Golf Tournament set for Sept. 12

The 2011 Barry Brewer Golf Tournament will be held on Monday, Sept. 12, and played at the Legends Golf Course in Franklin, Tenn.

Harston advances at U.S. Open Qualifier

Lipscomb golf coach Buddy Harston finished tied for third place in last weekend's U.S. Open Local Qualifier tournament at the Maketewah Country Club in Cincinnati, Ohio. Harston shot an even par 72 during the round and finished just one stroke behind the leader.

Harston announces four men's golf signees

The Lipscomb Men's Golf team has announced the signing of four newcomers to next year's team. Two central Kentucky natives Taylor Combs and Nate Johnson along with Tennessee natives Paul Kleine-Kracht and Braden Baugh will join the Bisons golf program in the fall.

Brandon Mundie fired an even-par 71 to lead the Lipscomb men's golf team in the first round of the 2011 Atlantic Sun Championships at the Chateau Course of Chateau Elan. The Bisons are tied for 10th place after carding a 298 in round one.

Bison golfers finish 18th at UK Bluegrass Invite

The Lipscomb men's golf team wrapped up the 2011 regular season on Sunday with an 18th place finish at the Kentucky Bluegrass Invitational in Lexington. The Bisons carded rounds of 321, 298 and 320 to finish with a 54-hole team total of 939.

Bisons conclude first round of UK Bluegrass Invitational

The Lipscomb men's golf team fired a 321 and currently sits in 18th place after the first round of the UK Bluegrass Invitational at the par-71 University Club of Kentucky on Saturday. Brandon Mundie carded a 78 to lead the Bisons in round one Saturday. Mundie is in a tie for 63rd place.

Bison golfers travel to UK Bluegrass Invitational

The Lipscomb men's golf team returns to the links this weekend as they travel to Lexington, Ky., to participate in the fourth annual Kentucky Bluegrass Invitational. The event will serve as the Bisons final regular season tune up before next week's Atlantic Sun Championships.

The Lipscomb Bisons started Tuesday morning tied for eighth place after two rounds of the Grover Page Classic at the Jackson County Country Club in Jackson, Tenn., but finished the tournament tied for 10th.

Bisons Golf Alumni Championship set for April 15

The Lipscomb golf programs will host the inaugural Bisons Golf Alumni Championship on April 15 at Old Hickory Country Club. The cost is $200 per player with all proceeds benefiting the Bisons and Lady Bisons golf teams.

The Lipscomb Bisons closed out the fall golf schedule with an eighth place finish in the Stetson/CFSC Invitational at the Victoria Hills Golf Club in DeLand, Fla.

Bisons finish ninth in Murray Invitational

The Lipscomb Bisons golf team finished ninth in the Murray State Invitational in Murray Ky. The final round was Tuesday. Blanton Farmer was the highest finisher for the Bisons, tying for 16th place with a score of 222 (77, 72, 73).

Farmer named to A-Sun All-Freshman Team

Lipscomb University's Blanton Farmer has been named to the Atlantic Sun Conference All-Freshman Team. He joins Kennesaw State's Ben Green, North Florida's Kevin Phelan and William Meason and Matt Kocolowski from Mercer on the team.
