The Lipscomb men’s golf team finished 11th in the 2011 Atlantic Sun Championship held at Chateau Elan Resort in Braselton, Ga.

Lipscomb shot a 298 in the first round, 303 in the second, and 299 in the third round to finish 48 strokes over par.  

Kennesaw State won the title with a seven-under 845 and the Owl’s Jeff Karlsson won the individual title with a six-under 207.

Brandon Mundie finished tied for 31st with an eight-over 221 (71-76-74).  Blanton Farmer and Andrew Brock tied at 48th with a 13-over 226.  Dustin Wilder and Alex Cox finished 51st and 52nd, respectively, at 17 and 18 strokes over par.

Farmer shot a 72 in the third round, the best for the Bisons on Wednesday.  Mundie’s 71 in the opening round was the best of the championship for Lipscomb.
