Klein-Kracht paces men's golf on first day in Florida

DELAND, Fla. – The Lipscomb men’s golf team opened play in the Stetson/CFSC Invitational on Monday finding themselves in sixth place in the nine-team field after 36 holes of action at the Victoria Hills Golf Club.

Paul Klein-Kracht paced the Bisons on Monday shooting a 75 to open the day before improving with a 72 to find himself in 12th place after the first day of action. 

Blanton Farmer and Ryan Terry also shot first round 75s, three-over par. But Farmer added two strokes in the second round to card a 77, while Terry added on six strokes to card a second round 81.

Dustin Wilder and Alex Cox both shot 76s for the first round. Wilder carded a second round 77 while Cox shot an 83.

USC Upstate heads into Tuesday’s final round with a one-shot lead over second place Florida Gulf Coast.  Upstate’s Adam Goins set the pace on Monday with a -3 (69, 72) to lead the field.
