Bisons golf looks to keep winning form at APSU Intercollegiate

The Bisons golf team travels to Hopkinsville, Ky., to take part in the 54-hole APSU Intercollegiate on Monday and Tuesday.

The field will consist of 14 teams and 17 individuals. The Links at Novadell is a par-72 course covering 7,132 yards.

On Monday 36-holes will be played while the final 18 will be played on Tuesday.

Last time out, the Bisons won the Murray State Invitational with a total score of 857 (+5). It was the first win for the Bisons golf team since the 2007-08 season.

Lipscomb has five golfers with a stroke average of 73.6 or lower. Paul Klein-Kracht has only played three rounds, but has an average of 71.6 (70-74-71) and leads the team. He finished 11th in the Murray State Invite last time out.

True freshmen Mikey Feher and Sydney Chung are second and third in scoring for the Bisons. Feher is at 72.2 and Chung at 72.6. They each finished the Murray State Invite at one-over par and tied for eighth with a 215.

Senior Dustin Wilder has been consistent with an average of 73.3. Wilder has posted six rounds ranging from 72 to 74.

Caston Roberts (73.3) and Dowling Armstrong (73.6) have each only played three rounds with Roberts finishing tied for 12th in the SIUE Derek Dolnec Invitational and Armstrong carding out 30th at Murray State.

Stoney Crouch finished 55th in the SIUE Invitational with a 232, but did not qualify last time out.

Tyler Leroy and Ryan Terry average 75.6 and 76.3 respectively after only three rounds.

Belmont, Tennessee State, Southern Illinois and Murray State are just a few of the 14-team field at the APSU Intercollegiate.
