Men's golf looks to keep to its winning ways in Arkansas

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Fresh off their second victory of the season, the Lipscomb men’s golf team hopes to ride the momentum this week at the First Tee Collegiate Classic hosted by the University of Arkansas-Little Rock.

The 54-hole event will be played on the par-72 Bear Den Course at the Chenal Country Club. The course is laid out over 7,326 yards.

Play will begin with a 36-hole, 8 a.m. shotgun start on Monday. The final 18 holes will be played on Tuesday.

Participating alongside Lipscomb in the 14-team field are, Abilene Christian, Arkansas State, University of Louisiana-Monroe, McNeese State, Missouri State, Nebraska-Omaha, Northern Iowa, Oral Roberts, Sam Houston State, Stephen F. Austin, Southern Illinois, UT-Martin and host UALR.

Lipscomb picked up its first win of the spring two weeks ago in the Grover Page Classic with a three-round total of 856.

Caston Roberts led the Bisons and was crowned the individual champion with a 7-under-par, 209. After carding rounds of 70-68-71, Roberts was named the Atlantic Sun Conference co-golfer of the week for her performance.
