Men's golf remains in sixth after second round

BRASELTON, Ga. – Day two of the 2014 Atlantic Sun Men’s Golf Championship saw the Bisons finish in sixth with a team total of 308. Lipscomb opened with a 307 on Sunday.

Freshmen Sydney Chung and Stoney Crouch lead the Bisons in the championship, each with an eight-over par 152 and in a tie for 21st.

Chung posted a 74 in round one on Sunday and followed up with a six-over par 78 in round two.

Crouch has stayed consistent, carding identical rounds (74-74) to open the championship.

Paul Kleine-Kracht shot 38 on the front nine Monday and a 39 on the back to end round two with a five-over par 77 and stands in a tie for 33rd. The junior posted a 79 in round one.

Junior Caston Roberts dropped one stroke in the final round and fired a seven-over par 79 on Monday after shooting an opening-round 78. Roberts will enter the final round tied for 36th overall.

Senior Dustin Wilder rounded out Bisons scoring with a two-round total of 157. Roberts turned in a 77 Monday in round two, after opening with an 80 in round one.. He is tied for 36th overall.

The Bisons are 12 strokes behind fifth place Jacksonville and just one stroke ahead of USC Upstate in seventh.

Mercer’s 291 on Monday lofted the Bears into the top spot with a two stroke lead over Kennesaw State. James Beale of Mercer leads the overall field and is the only player under par after carding rounds of 73-70. He will enter the final round with a one stroke lead.
