Knoxville native McKay inks with men's golf

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Lipscomb men’s golf coach Will Brewer has announced the signing of Connor McKay to a National Letter of Intent for the 2015-16 season.

A standout golfer at Farragut High School in Knoxville, McKay helped lead the Admirals to the 2014 TSSAA Class AAA state championship last month in Manchester.

“Connor really works hard, has a great work ethic and is a diamond in the rough,” said Lipscomb men’s golf head coach Will Brewer.  “I think we will really be able to improve his short game.  We are really glad to have him join the team and glad he chose Lipscomb.”

McKay has competed this year in the Southern Junior Championship, the Bubba Conlee National Junior and the Under Armour/Scott Stallings Championship, where he turned in a top-15 performance.

McKay chose Lipscomb over Western Kentucky, Tennessee Tech and the College of Charleston.
