Men's golf looks to defend title in Collegiate Classic

DULUTH, Ga. – The Lipscomb men’s golf team returns to the Berkeley Hills Country Club on Monday and Tuesday looking to defend the squad’s 2015 Collegiate Classic crown.

Herd notes:

  • The tournament features 54-holes with 36 to be played on Monday, followed by a final 18 holes on Tuesday.
  • The Berkeley Hills Country Club will play par 72 at 6,694 yards.
  • The Bisons set the tournament record last year with a -9, 279. Dawson Armstrong blitzed the field last year taking home medalist honors by eight strokes.  Armstrong opened the tournament with a -7, 65 tying the tournament low round mark.
  • Joining Lipscomb in the field of 14 are host Georgia State, Chattanooga, Francis Marion, Georgia Southern, Kennesaw State, Middle Tennessee, UNC Greensboro, Ole Miss, Richmond, South Florida, Troy, Winthrop and Yale.
  • The tournament gets underway on Monday morning at 7:30 a.m. for the Bisons just outside of Atlanta.
