ATHENS, Ga. – The Lipscomb men’s golf team finished in fourth place at the Southern Intercollegiate on Monday with a score of +12, 588 through two rounds of action.
The Bisons were the defending champions in the one-day event after taking first place during the 2017 installment.
Lipscomb was led by senior Dawson Armstrong and freshman Linus Samuelsson. They finished in a tie for sixth overall in the individual standings with a score of E, 144.
Seniors Hunter Howell and Eric Ansett were next up, placing in a tie for 24th and a tie for 34th, respectively. Howell shot a +6, 150, while Ansett scored a +7, 151.
Junior Connor McKay closed out Lipscomb’s quintet in a tie for 65th with a score of +13, 157.
Arkansas finished first place in the overall standings with a collective score of -9, 567 which was several strokes ahead of the field.
The Razorbacks’ Alvaro Ortiz and Luis Garza tied for first place in the individual standings with a score of -3, 141.
The Bisons will be back on the course next weekend at the John Hayt Collegiate Invitational in Jacksonville, Florida hosted by North Florida.
