Men's Golf travels to San Antonio for 10th annual Lone Star Invitational

SAN ANTONIO, Texas. – The Lipscomb men’s golf team continues fall action Monday and Tuesday at 8 a.m. in the 10th annual Lone Star Invitational hosted at TPC San Antonio AT&T Oaks Course in San Antonio, Texas.

The tournament will be the first since opening the season August 30 in a dual match with Jacksonville in Braselton, Georgia.

The Bisons will be competing in this event for the first time ever with a relatively inexperienced squad after graduating five seniors last season, including three-time ASUN champion Dawson Armstrong.

 

Herd notes:

  • TPC San Antonio is a par-72 course that covers a layout of 7,435 yards.
  • The invitational is a two-day, 54-hole event that will see the teams play 36 holes on Monday and another 18 Tuesday. ­
  • Head coach Will Brewer will carry transfer Eric Gilpin, Davis Armstrong, Linus Samuelsson, Issac Noh and Austin Aliff to compete as a team, while Trevor Gold will go as an individual.
  • Also in the field with the Bisons are host UTSA, Arkansas State, Texas El-Paso, McNeese State, Texas State, Louisiana, UT Arlington, South Alabama, Sam Houston State, North Texas, Rice, Louisiana-Monroe, Little Rock and Southern Mississippi.
