Men's golf concludes day one at Wolfpack Intercollegiate

RALEIGH, N.C. – The Lipscomb men’s golf team kicked off the action at the Wolfpack Intercollegiate at the Lonnie Poole Golf Course hosted by N.C. State on Saturday.

After two rounds of play, the Bisons sit in 14th place with a score of +19, 595 (295-300).

With 36 holes in the books, the teams will tee off tomorrow at 8 a.m. for the final round of 18 holes.

Junior Davis Armstrong paced Lipscomb with a score of +4, 148 (75-73) to place in a tie for 51st.



  • Freshman Austin Aliff (+5, 149) and senior Eric Gilpin (+6, 150) were next after Armstrong, placing in a tie for 57th and a tie for 68th, respectively.
  • Freshman Mason Nam (+8, 152) and sophomores Linus Samuelsson (+9, 153), and Isaac Noh (+19, 163) rounded out Lipscomb’s six in a tie for 77th, 82nd, and 90th, respectively.
  • UNCG’s Jonathan Brightwell is the individual leader after day one with a -8, 136 (70-66) score.
  • Host NC State sits atop the team leaderboard with a total score of -13, 563 (288-275).
