Men's golf adds three to 2019 signing class

NASHVILLE - The Lipscomb men’s golf team and director of golf Will Brewer will welcome three newcomers for the 2019-2020 season with Gregor McKenzie, Alexander “A. Jacks” Green, and Ford Goldasich signing their National Letters of Intent.

 

Gregor McKenzie/ 6-0 / 154 / Oxford, England (Magdalen College School)

  • Won the U16 South of England tournament in 2017
  • High school captain since 2015 and U18 County Team captain
  • Member of Scottish National Team
  • Plans to major in Financial Management
  • Favorite movies is “Pulp Fiction”
  • Person he admires most is Jason Day

"Gregor McKenzie has battled with some injuries, but I think he’s past those. I think he’s got a lot of potential. Excellent student and an excellent young man, I’m excited for the opportunity to see his growth and development.”

 

Alexander Jackson “A. Jacks” Green/ 6-1 / 170 / Franklin, Tenn. (Christ Presbyterian Academy)

  • Shot rounds of 67 and 66 to win the 2017 State Championship
  • All-State in 2017
  • Helped Christ Presbyterian Academy win the 2014 and 2016 A-AA State Championships.
  • Round of 66 is tied for the ninth best score in history for the state tournament.
  • Earned five letters as a varsity golfer in high school
  • Plans to major in Business
  • Favorite TV show is “Friends”
  • Person he admires most is Jordan Spieth

"A. Jacks Green is a local kid that I’ve watched for six or seven years and really developed into a great player. He had a great summer. I think he won three times and qualified for two national events. Great student, great kid, perfect fit.”

  • 2016 Alabama State Champion
  • 2017 State Runner-Up
  • 2018 State Runner-Up
  • Plans to major in Business
  • Father, uncle and brother all played college sports
  • Favorite movie is “Talladega Nights”
  • Person he admires most is Tiger Woods
