AUBURN, Ala. - The Lipscomb men's golf team shot a final-round 297 and finished in 16th at the Tiger Invitational.
Lipscomb saved its best round for last, improving by six shots from its second-round score of 303. The Bisons ended with a three-round 915 total in their second tournament of the spring season.
Host team Auburn won the tournament at 853.
Sophomore Linus Samuelsson paced the way for the Purple and Gold on the leaderboard and had a solid tournament. He fired rounds of 72-72-73 showing consistency to tie for 12th with a three-round total of 217. This was the first top-15 finish of the spring for Samuelsson.
Freshman Austin Aliff had the best final-round for Lipscomb carding an even-par 72. Aliff made improvments each round to tie for 64th with rounds of 83-76-72=231.
Paul Swindell also tied for 64th at 231 shooting rounds of 79-78-74.
The Bisons will be heading West for their next outing at the Desert Mountain Invitational March 9-10 in Scottsdale, Arizona.
