Men's Golf Heads to Arizona for Desert Mountain Intercollegiate

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. - The Lipscomb men's golf team returns to the links this weekend at the Desert Mountain Intercollegiate in Scottsdale, Arizona March 9-10. 

The tournament will be played at the Outlaw Course at the Desert Mountain Golf Club, which is a par-72, that runs 7,107 yards. The tournament will start on Staurday with 36 holes and finish on Sunday with 18 holes.

The Bisons will be facing some tough competion this weekend with three top-50 ranked teams (No. 38 Kansas, No. 41 Marquette and No. 44 Northwestern) participating in the 12-team field, according to GolfStat.

Sophomore Linus Samuelsson had a solid tournament in Lipscomb's last outing at the Tiger Invitational recording his first top-15 finish of the spring season. Samuelsson tied for 12th with a three-round total of 217 (72-72-73) to pace the Purple and Gold. Samuelsson is also leading the Bisons in scoring average during the spring at a mark of 72.67.
