WEST POINT, MISS. - The Lipscomb men's golf team is set to close out its regular spring season at the Old Waverly Collegiate Championship April 15-16.
The tournament will be held at the Old Waverly Golf Club located in West Point, Mississippi on a par-72 course that will run at an even 7,000 yards.
The 15-team field will feature some of the best competiton the Bisons have faced this year. Some notable squads at the tournament are No. 4 Vanderbilt, No. 55 Ole Miss and host team No. 57 Mississippi State, according to Golfstat.
Teams will begin with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start on Monday and play 36 holes. On Tuesday, teams will begin to tee-off at 8 a.m. and play 18 holes.
The Bisons are coming off their best finish of the season as they hosted the Ryman Hospitality Intercollegiate last week and finished in fourth place.
Senior Eric Gilpin had a great tournament for the Purple and Gold and finished tied for third with a 36-hole total of 141. Gilpin shot a four-under, 67 in the final round of the Ryman Hospitality Intercollegiate, which was the lowest score for the Bisons this season.
