BRASELTON, Ga. - The Lipscomb men's golf team is ready to battle it our for the 41st ASUN Championship at the Legends Course Chateau Elan Golf Club April 21-23.
The Bisons will be facing tough competition and come into the tournament with a young and inexperienced squad, but Director of Golf Will Brewer knows that the Purple and Gold can compete.
"The field is going to be tough with the likes of North Florida and Liberty," Brewer said. "We do have two guys who will be returning and have played at conference and this course before. We played here in the fall and the course will be challenging, but fair so I expect us to go out there and compete.
"We've had a tough year dealing with some injuries and the fact that we don't have as much experience. I am proud of how we've played over the past four or five weeks and I do think that we are trending in the right direction at the right time."
Lipscomb will be going up against two top-20 ranked teams in the country, according to GolfStat, in No. 15 North Florida and No. 20 Liberty along with strong opponents in No. 70 Jacksonville and No. 83 Kennesaw State.
The tournament will be a three-day event will see teams play 18-holes each day starting on Sunday and wrapping up on Tuesday. The course will be set at a par-72 and run 7,032 yards.
