Men's Golf Fourth After First 18 At Intercollegiate At The Grove

COLLEGE GROVE, Tenn. - The Lipscomb men's golf team teed-off at the Intercollegiate at The Grove on Sunday and finished the first round of competition in fourth at 295.

Tennessee leads the 14-team field at 284, which is eight strokes ahead of second place Troy and Lamar at 292.

Nolan Ray leads the Bisons as he came out and fired a round of 2-under, 70. He is tied for third after carding four birdies in his first round. Ray's round was the fifth time this season he has scored under-par.

Connor McKay also had a nice outing on the course and ended his day with a top-20 performance. McKay fired a round of 1-over, 73 and is tied for 16th.

Austin Aliff and Paul Swindell are both tied for 37th after shooting rounds of 76.

Play will continue with the second round tomorrow, followed by the third and final round on Tuesday.
