COLLEGE GROVE, Tenn. - After play was suspended yesterday, the Lipscomb men's golf team wrapped up competition at the Intercollegiate at The Grove and tied for third at 588 (295-293).
The Bisons moved up one spot on the leaderboard after carding a final-round, 18-hole score of 293.
Tennessee won the team title at 569, which was 15 strokes better than Lamar (584).
Nolan Ray continued his hot start to the season by carding back-to-back rounds of 2-under, 70 for a 36-hole total of 140 placing him in a tie for second. Ray has finished all three tournaments the Bisons have participated in inside the top-10, with this being his second top-5 finish.
Connor McKay tied for 13th at 145 after carding a final-round even-par, 72. The redshirt senior fired a round of 1-over, 73 in the first round.
Paul Swindell tied for 37th at 151 (76-75) in his first tournament of the 2019-20 season.
Lipscomb will be back in action next week, Oct. 14-15, at the Autotrader Collegiate Classic from Duluth, Ga.
