The Lipscomb Bisons closed out the home portion of the season with a 9-0 non-conference loss to Evansville Wednesday evening at the Lipscomb Soccer Complex.
The nine goals were a season-high in goals allowed. The Bisons had given up four goals on two different occasions.
The Bisons have been outscored 15-0 in their last three games. They have two regular season non-conference games remaining on the road at Wofford Friday and Furman Sunday afternoon.
The Bisons, who are the No. 4 seed in their first ever trip to the Atlantic Sun Tournament, will have a few days to rest and regroup before traveling to DeLand, Fla., Nov. 15 for the tournament at Stetson.
Evansville out shot the Bisons 24-20, but held a 14-6 advantage in shots on goal.
Bisons senior goalkeeper Jake Goergen gave up eight goals. Mark Williams allowed one in 13:10 minutes as he made his first appearance of the season in goal for Lipscomb.
Cory Elenio scored the hat trick for Evansville. Elenio made a game-high four shots on goal.
The Bisons are 5-9-3 overall. Evansville is 9-7-0.
