The opening weekend for the Lipscomb men’s soccer team ended on a high point as the Bisons finished off Western Illinois 3-0 Sunday afternoon at the Lipscomb Soccer Complex.
The Bisons get three second half goals to cruise past Florida Atlantic 3-0 in the season opener Friday night. Scout Monteith scored the game winner in the 52nd minute for his first goal since 2013.
Lipscomb will open its 2016 season with a pair of matches this weekend at the Lipscomb Soccer Complex. On Friday the Bisons will host Florida Atlantic at 7 p.m. before welcoming Western Illinois at 1 p.m. Sunday.

Head Coach Charles Morrow announced on Thursday the 2016 schedule for the Lipscomb men’s soccer team. The challenging 16-game slate features two matchups with 2015 NCAA Tournament teams, six contests against squads that finished in the top 100 RPI rankings and nine home games.
