Birmingham-Southern proved to be too much for the Lipscomb Bisons soccer team. Scoring one goal in each period, Birmingham Southern won its fourth straight game, a 2-0 shutout Tuesday night at the BSC Soccer Park. Gino Cozzolino scored t he first goal for Birmingham-Southern at 39:48 of the first period. Karim Dietx. Who had an assist on the Cozzolino goal, scored a goal of his own at the 77:26 mark of the second period. The Bisons had only eight shots, five of them shots on goal. Micah Johnson had two shots on goal for the Bisons. Birmingham-Southern made 21 shots, eight of them shots on goal. J.D. Murphy made five saves for the Bisons. Birminghan-Southern goalkeeper Joe Nasco was credited with four saves. The Bisons are 2-2 in their last four games. They finish the season Sunday afternoon at Alabama A&M at 1.
