Monday, September 21, 2009MACON, Ga. - Lipscomb’s Garret Pettis earned his Atlantic Sun Player of the Week honors after a four-point weekend.
Pettis, a sophomore forward, scored a goal in each game of the Hyatt Place Select Invitational as the Bisons split with a 2-1 loss to UNC Asheville and a 3-2 win against Alabama A&M. The Elizabethtown, Pa., native attempted to rally the Bisons against UNC Asheville with a late tally but Lipscomb came up short. The health and physical education major scored the game-winning goal against Alabama A&M on Sunday.
The Atlantic Sun Conference is an 11-member league committed to Building Winners for Life.
