No fun in the sun for Bisons with 5-1 loss at Stetson
The Lipscomb Bisons were looking forward to their weekend in Florida, but the trip started on a less than happy note with a 5-1 Atlantic Sun loss to Stetson in DeLand, Fla.

Most of the damage was done by two Stetson players. Griffin Gilstrap scored one goal in the first half and one in the second.

Kevin Muntz added a pair of second half goals, scoring them within 2:45.

Freshman midfielder Tyler Burkhardt prevented the shutout when he scored on a penalty kick with 6:11 left to play.

Both teams were credited with 24 shots.

The Bisons held a slight 14-13 edge in shots on goal. Andre Santos had three shots on goal for the Bisons. Drew Longinotti added a pair.

Brent McGee started in goal for the Bisons and gave up two goals while making three saves. Patrick Walsh allowed three goals and made five saves.

The Bisons are 3-7-2, 0-2-1 in the A-Sun. Stetson is 8-1-1, 2-1-0 in the conference.

Sunday afternoon the Bisons are in Fort Myers, Fla., to face Florida Gulf Coast at 1 p.m.
