Loss at ETSU in A-Sun Tourney ends season
The Bisons soccer team played ETSU for the second time in a little more than a week, but the outcome was the same, a 3-0 loss. The Bisons, the No. 6-seed in the Atlantic Sun Tournament, were eliminated Saturday afternoon by No. 3-seed ETSU in Johnson City. The Bisons gave up a pair of goals in the first half with the first one knocked in by a Lipscomb defender at 18:02. ETSU scored its first official goal of the game at 26:39 when Aaron Schoenfield scored on a header. At 73:27 of the second half ETSU iced the game with a third goal when Andrew Brown scored on a breakaway. Brent McGee took the loss for the Bisons. He made three saves. Scott Rosman made three saves for ETSU for the win. The Bisons had seven shots, three on goal with Evan McGee and Miguel DaSilva each making two attempts. ETSU was credited with 10 shots, including six shots on goal. It was the last college game for Bisons defender Kezi Lara, an A-Sun All-Conference Second Team selection for the past two seasons. The Bisons finished the season with a 6-10-3 record, 3-4-2 in the A-Sun. ETSU, 6-8-3, 4-4-1, advances to play Stetson.
