Djabi selected to NSCAA/Continental All-South Region

After a spectacular season that saw him earn Atlantic Sun Player of the Year, Lipscomb midfielder Omar Djabi has been selected to the third team of the 2013 NSCAA/Continental Tire NCAA Division I Men’s All-South Region.

Djabi is only the second Lipscomb player to earn a selection in school history. In 2010 Miguel DaSilva was selected to the second team All-South Region.

Djabi led the A-Sun with nine goals, 21 points and four game-winning goals. He put 29 of his 55 shots on goal for a .527 percentage.

The A-Sun Player of the Year honor given to Djabi was the first time in program history a Lipscomb player had ever won.

Djabi’s play also helped head coach Charles Morrow earn the A-Sun’s Coach of the Year award for the first time in Lipscomb’s history.
