Cedano, Johnson earn A-Sun men's soccer All-Academic

MACON, GA. – Lipscomb’s Robbie Johnson and Anthony Cedano have been named to the 2014 Atlantic Sun Men’s Soccer Academic All-Conference team after having a successful season in the classroom as well as on the pitch.

Johnson, now a 3-time All-Academic selection, owns a 3.41 GPA while majoring in Mechanical Engineering and was a unanimous selection.

Johnson has accumulated one goal and two assists on the year while playing in 16 games. The score was the first of his career and it came on a header to go up on Florida Gulf Coast on Nov. 1.

Cedano, a native of Jacksonville, Florida, earned a spot with a 3.31 GPA in Corporate Management.

The junior has three goals and two assists on the year. His first career goal came in the season opener at Xavier.

This is the first time Cedano has been honored on the All-Academic squad.

The Bisons clinched a share of the A-Sun Regular Season Championship and will host the A-Sun tournament as the No. 1 seed this week.

Lipscomb earned a first-round bye and will get the winner of No. 4 North Florida – No. 5 USC Upstate in a 7 p.m. CT semi-final match on Friday.
