NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Lipscomb men’s soccer team and head coach Charles Morrow has announced a five-game spring schedule.
The Bisons open the spring season with a tough road contest at perennial power UAB on Saturday, March 5 at 3 p.m. The Blazers have made appearances in the NCAA Tournament in four of the last five seasons. The two teams met last in exhibition play in 2014.
“These spring matches will provide a good challenge for our guys as we prepare for the fall,” Morrow said. “We have a new group of players eager to make their mark on our program and we believe these five games will be a good test for them.”
Lipscomb will stay away from competition for almost a month before traveling to Evansville on Saturday, April 2. The contest is set for a 6 p.m. kick. The Bisons and Purple Aces competed last October at the Lipscomb Soccer Complex, a match that saw Lipscomb score three second-half goals to erase its halftime deficit and come out on top 4-2.
The spring slate will continue on Saturday, April 9 when Cumberland visits the Music City for the first of three home tilts in eight days for the Bisons. The game will get underway at 3 p.m.
On Wednesday, April 13 crosstown rival Belmont will make the short trek to Lipscomb for an 8 p.m. match, before the Purple and Gold close out its spring lineup on Friday, April 15 at 7 p.m. against Lee University.
