KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The first United Soccer Coaches region polls were unveiled on Monday, and Lipscomb's men's soccer team came in at No. 8 in the Southeast Region poll after winning their opening game against Niagara 3-2.
It is the second consecutive season that the Bisons have had a spot in the first poll after debuting at No. 3 last year.
Other teams represented in the Southeast Region Poll include Old Dominion, Georgia St., FIU, Kentucky, Charlotte, UAB, South Carolina, Appalachain St. and NJIT.
The Bisons will play against four of those teams this season with games against Georgia St. and NJIT at home in the month of September. Kentucky and UAB will represent the Bisons final road trip of the season in late October.
United Soccer Coaches, formerly known as the National Soccer Coaches Association of American, consists of college soccer coaches from around the country at every level to help recognize players and coaches on and off the pitch.
The Bisons next match will be Saturday night at home against SIU-Edwardsville. Game time is at 7:00pm.
