Bisons soccer re-enters USC Southeast Region Poll

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – An overtime win against Georgia St. on Saturday night was enough to vault the Lipscomb men’s soccer team back into the United Soccer Coaches Southeast Region Poll this week.

The Bisons re-enter the poll at No. 8, the spot they previously held after the first week of the season. On the week, the Purple and Gold went 1-1, losing on the road to ETSU before snagging the 1-0 win over Georgia St.

Georgia St. remains in the top-5 of the poll after the defeat to Lipscomb, bolstered by an early week victory over the nation’s No. 2 team, Wake Forest.

Three future opponents of the Bisons also made the poll this week as Kentucky resides atop the poll while ASUN rival NJIT is at three. UAB rounds out the poll at No. 10.

The Southeast Region consists of the ASUN Conference, Conference USA and the Sun Belt Conference.
