Men's Soccer moves up one spot in Southeast Region poll

KANSAS CITY, MO – A double overtime win over San Diego on Friday night upped the Lipscomb men’s soccer team one spot to 7th in the United Soccer Coaches Southeast Region Poll on Tuesday.

In the poll, the Bisons passed Georgia St., a team that Lipscomb beat earlier this season. It’s the highest the Purple and Gold have been ranked in the Southeast region this year after appearing at eight twice previously.

NJIT remains the only other ASUN school in the poll. The Highlanders remained at third despite an 0-1-1 week that saw them lose to Stony Brook and draw Fairleigh Dickinson.

Two other Lipscomb opponents remain in the poll as well with Kentucky sticking in the top spot and UAB holding steady in tenth.

The Bisons will begin ASUN play on Saturday on the road at USC Upstate. Kickoff is slated for 6 p.m.
