NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The defending ASUN Conference champion Lipscomb men’s soccer team and head coach Charles Morrow has announced a four-game 2018 spring schedule filled with familiar faces.
The Bisons will open the spring season March 7 in Elizabethtown, Kentucky when they take on Louisville City FC, a professional team out of the United Soccer League. Kickoff is slated for 6:30 p.m.
It will be the second year in a row the two squads have met during the spring slate after the Purple and Gold shutout the eventual 2017 USL Cup champions LouCity 1-0 in 2017.
Lipscomb will return to Music City on March 24 for a match with Belmont at E.S. Rose Park. The start time between the rivals will be 7 p.m.
The Bisons and Bruins have not played since the 2016 season when Lipscomb grabbed a 4-2 victory.
From there, the Bisons will play their first of two home matches in the spring on April 14 when Memphis visits the Lipscomb Soccer Complex for a 3 p.m. contest.
In the fall, Lipscomb traveled to Memphis and downed the Tigers 3-1 thanks to goals Anthony Bellini, Kyle Smith and Ihaia Delaney.
To close the spring the Bisons will bring back a number of former players to put on an alumni game on April 21 at 1 p.m.
Fans stay tuned for information on an additional game being added to the spring schedule at a later date.
